A tooth that has become decayed must be cleaned and the decay removed. After the decay is removed, a cavity is created on the tooth that may collect food leading to further decay. Some cavities are large enough that they reduce the strength of the tooth. Porcelain inlays are used to fill these cavities and protect them from further decay and structural fractures.
How Porcelain Inlays Work
Once a tooth has been cleaned of any decay, a porcelain CEREC inlay is created to fit inside of the cavity. The porcelain inlay is fabricated in only 15 minutes or less with our cutting edge technology called CEREC! Then the restoration is inserted into the cavity of the tooth and bonded, creating a permanent, long-lasting seal. Porcelain inlays preserve your smile through color matching and durability.
