 Hello, and welcome to the on-line area of our Rocklin dentist office. I'm glad you found us. I hope that you find this site easy to use and informative. My Rocklin staff and I have worked very hard to create an environment in our office and on the web where you can be comfortable asking dental questions, learn about dental health and get the attention you need to stay healthy. We are a family dental practice but also specialize in cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
My passion is cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. I truly believe that the perfect smile can improve how you feel about yourself and contribute to a healthier lifestyle. To insure you get the best care possible, I have received advanced training in laser periodontal therapy and neuromuscular occlusion at the Las Vegas institute and orthodontics training at the Strait-wire Academy and continue to stay current with the latest technologies and procedures.
 On a personal note, I am a resident of Rocklin and live here with my wife and five kids. We love our community and its not uncommon to see my patients around town. Don't be a stranger, we love to make new friends.
One last comment. I know that the thought of going to the dentist can be unsettling for some people. I want you to know that this is a valid concern and we will do everything to make sure that your visit is comfortable. We stay current with the latest sedation options, provide massage chairs and do everything we can to minimize the stress that can sometimes be associated with going to the dentist.

Dr. Charles Smurthwaite is a graduate from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He received a Masters Degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University. He has received advanced training in Laser Periodontal Therapy, Neuromuscular Occlusion from the Las Vegas Institute and Orthodontics from Invisalign and the Strait-wire Academy. Cosmetic dentistry, including Lumineers, Veneers and dental implants are his passion… although he provides treatment to all ages and needs.
Dr. Smurthwaite’s vision is for you to be as comfortable as you can be in our dental-spa environment while utilizing the latest technology in comfort and dentistry. This includes sedation dentistry, electronic stimulation and environmental distractions like headphones, movies, massage chairs and much, much more!
