Rocklin Sedation Dentist - Electronic Sedation Dentists
What Is Sedation Dentistry?
Electronic sedation dentistry is performed in our Rocklin dentist office using two soft pads that are placed on your earlobes and connect to a hand held control device. During your dental procedure, you can control the amount of electronic sedation you receive by adjusting a simple control.
How Will I Feel When The Procedure Is Completed?
Electronic sedation does not leave any after side effects. Unlike receiving oral conscious sedation medications, the electronic sedation allows you to leave our office without a dizzy feeling or need to be accompanied by someone
Electronic Sedation vs. Medical Sedation
Our Rocklin dental office is prepared to offer you both electronic sedation and medical sedation. Medical sedation uses drugs to create an ultra deep relaxation before, during and for some, after your procedure whereas electronic sedation begins when your procedure begins and is removed shortly after you are done.
Another difference between electronic sedation and medical oral conscious sedation is that you will not need a companion to assist you in coming to our Rocklin dental office and returning to home as you will be fully conscious of your surroundings and able to drive.
Who Is A Candidate for Sedation Dentistry?
You are a good candidate for conscious sedation dentistry if you:
- Experience difficulty getting numb using shots
- Tend to react to dental work by gagging
- Don't like needles
- Have sensitive teeth or gums
- Dislike the smell of dental work
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Have TMJ
